Ra is the most common refrigerant found in automobiles today. That being said, there what is perfumers alcohol still millions of cars on the road that use Ra and there will be continue to be for at least another decade or more.
One of the very first steps is to check the pressure of your system. Understanding the pressure that your system is at as well as knowing what the saturation point is of Ra will allow you to properly diagnose what is wrong with your system. Remember, that air conditioning is basically changing the pressure on the refrigerant until a state change is reached.
If your pressure is off then that could point you in the right direction. With the facts behind you can then begin to determine if your compressor is at fault, perhaps your condenser, or it could be something as simple as your blower motor needing replaced. Without knowing the pressure in your system and the corresponding saturation point then you are in essence going in blind when you attempt to troubleshoot your air conditioning system.
I can assure you that when you take your vehicle into a dealership that the pressure and temperature are one of the first things they check when troubleshooting. There you have it folks. A T-s diagram is the type of diagram most frequently used to analyze energy transfer system cycles.

This is because the work done by or on the system and the heat added to or removed from the system can be visualized on the T-s diagram. By the definition of entropy, the heat transferred to or from a system equals the area under the T-s curve of the process. Figure 13 is the T-s diagram for pure water. A T-s diagram can be constructed for any pure substance. It exhibits the same features as P-u diagrams.
Temperature Entropy T-s Diagram. In the liquid-vapor region in Figure 13, water and steam exist together. For example, at point A, water with an entropy s f given by point B, exists together with steam with an entropy s g given by point C. The quality of the mixture at any point in the liquid-vapor region can be found using the following relationship. Membership Register Login. Copyright Notice. Diagram Database. Posted by MI. Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagrams have been made use of since ancient moments, but grew to become a lot more widespread in the Enlightenment. The phrase graph is typically utilized as being a synonym for Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagram. Overview The phrase "Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagram" in its commonly employed feeling may have a standard or precise which means: visual information product : Just like the expression "illustration", "Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagram" is applied being a collective expression standing for The complete course of specialized genres, like graphs, complex drawings and tables.
In science the time period is Employed in both of those techniques. Such as, Anderson mentioned additional usually: "Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagrams are pictorial, but abstract, representations of data, and maps, line graphs, bar charts, engineering blueprints, and architects' sketches are all examples of Craftsman Mower Wiring Diagrams, Whilst photos and online video are usually not".

No notes for slide. In other words, when one changes,so does the other one. At triple point thethree phases of a pure substance coexist in equilibrium. Because the heavier the lid, the greater thepressure in the pan, and thus the greater the cooking temperature.Reversed heat engines use work to remove heat.
PROCESSES 1 2 Wet vapor enters pump and is pumped Isentropic Temperature is increased 2 3 Vapor is condensed at constant temperature Heat rejected by refrigerant 3 4 Isentropic expansion Isentropic Temperature is reduced 4 1 Heat for evaporation process is supplied from cold source in evaporator at constant. A refrigerator operates between evaporator temperature and condenser temperature of oC and 35oC respectively.
Calculate the maximum possible COPR. The reversed Carnot is the most efficient refrigeration cycle operating between two fixed temperatures This cycle is impractical because, In process 1 2 it is difficult to compress liquid-vapor mixture In process 3 4 it is difficult to expand high-moisture-content refrigerant. Reversed Carnot cycle is only for comparison with the actual refrigeration cycles.
Using property table for refrigerants Using the P-h diagram. In the condenser, the vapor can be further cooled at constant pressure to a temperature that is lower than temperature in condenser T 2 3 Cooling water temperature. Undercooling subcooling is limited by temperature of cooling water and temperature difference of cycle. In a refrigeration cycle, pressure of Ra refrigerant is 2 bar and condenser pressure of 12 bar. Calculate refrigerating effect QL per unit mass and COPR for:i Ideal reverse Carnot cycle ii Ideal vapor compression cycle without superheating and undercooling iii Ideal vapor compression cycle with superheating iv Ideal vapor compression cycle with superheating and undercooling subcooling by 10K.
Source of irreversibilities Pressure drop in fluid Heat transfer with surroundings It is difficult to get saturated vapor at compressor inlet. So in practice the refrigerant is slightly superheated at compressor inlet.
It is also difficult to get saturated liquid at condenser exit. So in practice undercooling subcooling 3 3a is used. Pressure drop occurs in: 1 1a : line connecting evaporator and compressor 2 3 : within condenser 4 4a : line between expansion valve and evaporator 4a 1 : within evaporator. During actual compression, entropy might increase or decrease. Point 2 might be somewhere between 2a and 2b. Ra enters compressor as superheated vapor at 0.
After cooling in condenser, the temperature is 26oC and 0.

Then the refrigerant is throttled to 0. It separates vapor and liquid refrigerant during the throttling process The purpose is to avoid vapor refrigerants from entering evaporator The vapor developed during throttling flash vapor is bled out of the throttling device and fed back to the compressor.
A multistage compression refrigeration system is one example of a system that uses a flash chamber It can be carried out with the use of one or more compressors. At Pi state 3 1-x kg vapor mixes with x kg vapor adiabatically and becomes 1kg vapor 1kg vapor is compressed in 2nd stage compressor 1kg vapor enters condenser to be condensed and becomes 1kg liquid A vapor compression of a two-stage compression plant uses Ra and has an evaporator and condenser pressure of 0.
The refrigerant is saturated liquid on leaving the condenser. A flash chamber is employed at 0.
Calculate: i. The amount of vapor bled off at the flash chamber ii. The refrigerating effect per unit mass of refrigerant in the evaporator iii. The work done per unit mass of refrigerant in the compressors. A two stage cascade refrigeration system operates between pressure limits of 0. Each stage operates on an ideal vapor-compression refrigeration cycle with Ra as working fluid.
Heat rejection from lower cycle to the upper cycle takes place in an adiabatic counterflow heat exchanger where both streams enter at about 0. If mass flow rate of refrigerant through the upper cycle is 0. Determine i. Mass flow rate through lower cycle ii.
The area above and to the right of the saturation line for gas CP-B in Figure 2. Hence, there is a mixture of gas and liquid. The practical meaning of the critical point CP is that at temperatures higher than this, the refrigerant cannot be condensed, no matter how high the pressure.
Therefore, compression refrigeration systems normally operate at temperatures below the critical one. Lines of constant temperature isotherms are vertical in the sub-cooled liquid region, horizontal i. The constant pressure lines isobars are parallel to the x-axis.
